We have recently undertaken a website rescue for one of our clients, and part of that process required some domain names to be transferred away from names.co.
What we discovered was quite shocking, and certainly not common practice, but not only were they being double to triple charged for a domain name, namesco also charge a £10+VAT leaving fee for each domain name.
Buyer Beware, this is a shoddy practice!
We don’t look to make a profit from our domain name business, however, it is often easier to manage all the settings and assess any technical problems where the domain and hosting are with us, you of course also benefit from free SSL certificates.
We offer free .co.uk domain transfers with £7 a year renewal fees and £6 transfer fee for .com and annual charges of £12.
Office Innovation are proud to support Safer Internet Day 2021
Safer Internet Day 2021 is on the 9th of February and will be celebrated with the theme ‘An internet we trust – exploring reliability in the online world’.
Safer Internet Day inspires a national conversation about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically, and creatively.
Coordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre, the celebration sees thousands of organisations get involved to promote the safe, responsible and positive use of digital technology for children and young people.
In 2020, 49% of young people were reached aged 8-17 and 26% of parents. Everyone is invited to join, and Safer Internet Day supporters across the globe, to help create a better internet on Tuesday 9th February 2021 and throughout the whole year.
#AnInternetWeTrust – Safer Internet Day 2021
Each year in the UK, Safer Internet Day explores a new area or theme that is important to the young people we work with every day.
Safer Internet Day 2021 celebrates the amazing range of information and opportunities online, and its potential to inform, connect and inspire, whilst also looking at how young people can separate fact
The campaign focuses on how we can know what to trust online, supporting young people to question, challenge and change the online world. It will explore how influence, persuasion and manipulation can impact young people’s decisions, opinions and what they share online.
